We invite to attend the ITU Regional Workshop for Europe and CIS “Using ICT to save lives”

International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in collaboration with the
A.S. Popov Odessa National Academy of Telecommunications (A.S. Popov ONAT) of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine are going to hold the ITU Regional Workshop for Europe and CIS «Using ICT to save lives». The Workshop is going to be carried out in Odessa, Ukraine, on April 24-26, 2019.

The Workshop is addressed to the executives and experts responsible for emergency telecommunications and disaster response from ministries, regulators, telecom operators, universities and general education institutions, telecommunication equipment manufacturers, research and design institutes, software developers and other interested stakeholders from Europe and CIS regions.

The Workshop is aimed at presentation of modern scientific research in the field of using ICT to save lives. In particular, the Workshop will cover following issues: strategic aspects and international cooperation in using ICT to save lives; best practices of using ICT for saving lives; technical solutions for the use of ICT in emergency situations; technical, legal and organizational aspects of telemedicine; using ICT to address climate change issues; use of ICT in the work of emergency services.
