Representative of O.S. Popov ONAT took part in the First Meeting of Steering Committees of the ITU Centres of Excellence

Head of the Research & Development Department of O.S. Popov ONAT Mr. Vladislav Kumysh took part in the First Meeting of Steering Committees of the ITU Centres of Excellence for Europe and CIS Regions (2019-2022 Cycle), which took place on February 7-8, 2019 in Warsaw (Poland). About 30 representatives took part in the work of the Meeting. There were representatives of selected Centres of Excellence (СoE), country governments, where CoE are located, members of the Global capacity building initiative (GCBI) of Europe region, representatives of ITU Sector members and Academic organizations, ITU Secretariat and also representatives of other international organizations (European Telecommunications Satellite Organization (EUTELSAT), iGov, RIPE NCC, OSJD).

 

During the Meeting, Mr. Vladislav Kumysh showed the presentation ”O.S. Popov ONAT CoE Marketing strategy and operational/business strategy for the upcoming 2019-2022 cycle” and ”O.S. Popov ONAT proposals for the training courses in 2019: topics, dates, audience targeted”, where O.S. Popov ONAT CoE curriculum by 2019 was presented, which consists of the following propositions:

·        “Organizational and technological aspects of providing telemedicine services”, May 2019 in Odessa, Ukraine;

·        “Features of 5G technology implementation on the local (individual settlements), regional and national levels”, May 2019 in Odessa, Ukraine;

·        “Automatization of designing broadband networks. Choosing the best solution for building a network”, October 2019 in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan;

·        “The use of adaptive technologies in video communication channels”, November 2019 in Odessa, Ukraine;

 

Mr. Vladislav Kumysh took an active part in discussing operational procedures and processes of CIS network and made propositions and among which were mentioned to provide the possibility of holding CIS events for Ukrainian participants in national language and provide assigning unique serial numbers for certificates with help of CIS as well as making a single base with participants certificates with the possibility of providing official information(for employers as an example).

We remind, that in November 2018 the O.S. Popov Odesa National Academy of Telecommunications (ONAT) has been chosen as the Center of Excellence under the International Telecommunication Union Office for Europe. The Academy was honored to host master classes in such priority areas as Wireless and fixed broadband communications and Digital broadcasting.
